What is a cake smash?
I offer cake smash sessions to celebrate birthdays! That first year can be a mess, but it's a beautiful one. A cake smash is the last half of your baby's session where they dig in to the sweetness to celebrate their birthday. If the mess is not your vibe, that's okay! We can do a session without the cake. I send over a questionnaire during booking for you to let me know if you want me to order a professional cake for your session or if you want to bring your own. If you don't want one at all, that's alright! First birthdays don't have to have a cake, it's just a little extra fun!
What is a milestone session?
Milestone sessions are there to celebrate your little one's first moments and growth! We can celebrate half birthdays, schedule every 3 months of their first year, or plan by their cool new tricks. Whether they're rolling over, pulling up on things, or sitting up on their own, it's all worth capturing. Any age can have a milestone, it's simply what you want to remember about your little one at this point in time.
Do you offer outdoor sessions?
Yes! I do offer outdoor. If it's local there is no added fee but there may be extra fees for locations that require travel, parking or entry fees. Note: If it's a cake smash, some venues don't like the mess, please plan ahead. I respect all the places I do business and love to have a working relationship with them.
How long does a typical photo session last?
Babies and children have a sort of "time clock" with their attention span, so anywhere between half an hour to one hour is the hope. We will work on "baby time" for the most part and work to get the best outcome!
How long does it take to receive the finished portraits?
The proofing process takes about 1-2 weeks after your session date, from there you'll select your favorites and I'll finish the final portraits for ordering. You can order them in person at an ordering appointment at Traci Lynn Photography studio in Mabank or you can order online using the ordering gallery. Physical products such as wall art, gift prints, and card delivery depends on processing time.
Do you have sessions for teenagers?
Yes! Click my 'Youth' option on the portfolio tab if you'd like to see information for pre-teens, sweet sixteen, and Senior year. I love working with all ages!
