Family

Every family has a story to tell. A family portrait is the perfect way to remember your story as it’s being told. One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to meet all sorts of families on all walks of life coming together for family portraits because they want to capture what they love the most.

Family sessions are scheduled with immediate family members, up to 6 people usually, if you would like to book an extended family session please note that the session fee and details will vary and need be personalized. On location includes up to 15 miles from the studio, travel fees may apply.

If you’re looking for a seasonal family portrait, please check out the group TLP VIP group on Facebook for advertisements and information as it is available.

FAQ

Where will the session take place?
Choosing the location is important! We can keep it simple, minimalistic with a studio session or we can personalize it with an outdoor location. If you have family land or a location in mind, let me know! I have a few local locations that might fit your style as well.
How many people can be in the session?

For the base fee I ask that you have up to 6 family members in your session. For Generational/Extended sessions or families that have more than 6 people, there is just a little more planning involved and I may need to add to the session fee to accommodate. No worries! Contact me and let's plan!

Are you an inclusive photographer?
Absolutely! I am open to working with all families. Special accommodations are a priority, whether it's considering accessibility or respecting cultural differences. My goal is to create a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and represented through my lens. Please let me know if you need wheelchair accessibility, sensory sensitivity, or anything flexible for your session needs.
How long does a typical photo session last?
The duration depends, it can take half an hour or up to two hours depending on how the session goes and how long it takes to get all the photos. We will have an agreement ahead of time for what your session outcome will look like.
How long does it take to receive the final portraits?
I completely understand the anticipation! I take 1-2 weeks for proofing, then you will select your favorites and I'll provide a final ordering gallery or schedule an appointment to order in person. I'd say the process takes 2-3 weeks depending on the proofing and editing process.
What happens if the weather is unfavorable on the day of an outdoor shoot?
If the weather doesn't cooperate on the day of an outdoor shoot, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling the session or finding an indoor location. I want to ensure the best possible outcome for your photos, and we're flexible in adapting to unforeseen circumstances.
