Paisley celebrated her first birthday with TLP in the Mabank studio on Market Street, with a very messy cake smash and grins that are beyond contagious! Happy First Birthday sweet girl!Read More
A few months ago I received a very special request, one I'll never forget. Nicole, a beautiful soon-to-be mommy, messaged me to find out about Belly to Baby portraits. This time it was a bit different than my usual inquiry, because she was a military wife! Wesley was going to get a short leave when the baby was born, but they wanted to hire me to document the maternity, birth and newborn sessions, with a twist! Nicole was bummed that Wesley wouldn't be there for the maternity session, so we came up with a plan. She had seen the pictures where the spouse was faded into the picture, and asked if we could do something similar.
We recently did Nicole's maternity session, in bluebonnets, with Wesley being overseas, I had an idea to use the Texas bluebonnets to emphasize how she was MILES away in Texas, literally 7000 miles, and yet they were both waiting for Pyper, together.
Originally, Nicole told me to be prepared for the 22nd and beyond, that's when she was going to have Pyper, if she didn't decide on her own when to come. They planned to have him fly home then, and we were talking about the birth story process. Then she finds out there's complications with waiting that long, blood pressure being involved, preeclampsia, and she needed to deliver THIS WEEK! Over the weekend I've been talking to Nicole, she was upset because Wesley wouldn't be able to fly for the birth, being so soon. We talked about having him on video chat, recording the birth on an extra camera, and things started to seem like it would be a little easier, with him not being there, that way.
Well, guess what?! He's home! She's being induced TOMORROW (Wednesday) and he's home RIGHT NOW! I'm so excited for them both, and can't wait to meet Wesley AND Pyper all in the same 24 hour span (sorry Wesley, I'm more excited to meet Pyper).
I have to also add, Nicole and I couldn't stop giggling the entire time we took these. It's been such a great time, getting to know her. I can just imagine how precious her little girl is going to be. We had to take so much time to ourselves to breathe and relax, before each shot was taken.
Everyone please keep this sweet family in your thoughts, as they welcome their little sailor baby into the world. Thank you so much, to everyone for the support these photos have received over the week or so. It's caught wind with a few news channels, and went viral on social media.
I'll be updating as soon as we have photos finished, from the birth story, and newborn sessions! Congratulations, Wesley & Nicole, I can't wait to capture more amazing moments for your family.

Not your usual request, a wedding on a whim. Usually when a couple comes to me, blushing bride to be with engagement selfies and plans for every second, from the moment they wake up (Yes I have been asked if I'd like to stay the night and get "pre-pre-wedding" memories of the girls going to brunch and such), (and no I didn't do it, I *HAVE* however been known to drop in on the ladies getting their nails done the day before or hair done the morning of). But this wasn't your typical "Traci, I'd like to hire you for my wedding day." No, this was more someone that I've been friends with for a while, from her struggles to her victories, and currently one fantastic journey of pregnancy, raising one of the SWEETEST little girls, and now, a new chapter begins. The married life! I am so incredibly happy for these FOUR!
I photographed Kayla's pregnancy announcement, which was a tear-jerker all it's own, when I got that "Hey I have a secret" text message, I couldn't help but cry. I am so happy for everything positive in her life these days!
She messaged my business page, asking me for the request, giving me an out if I didn't want to do it (crazy person, of course I wanted to!) Set the date a few days away, and met at the local park. We originally planned to do the ceremony at an amphitheater, but when we walked closer, I saw a perfectly lit spot under some trees, and knew I could get beautiful pictures there.
With the preacher, groom, bride, flower girl, sister and her +1, I was the only other guest to witness two people become Mr. & Mrs. on a super secret wedding day. How cool is that? I am so honored, tickled, and happy for them!
I am usually so booked and frantic that it is almost impossible to get me on the weekends, but with my son's soccer schedule, and newborns needing on-the-fly scheduling, I try to keep 2 "rain-dates" available for sessions, I never would have thought that this would be a rain-date reason!
Thank you so much, Kyle, Kayla, and Kaylee for hiring me for your beautiful wedding date, may you have a life together that is full of happiness and love. Never go to bed angry, you can never say "I Love You" enough, Practice writing your last name (get it legally changed!) and remember the first moments where you fell in love. There will be rough days, but oh the good ones, they're what matter most. Congratulations on your year, you have a lot to look forward to!
With love -Traci Lynn Fugitt
Back to School mini sessions started out GREAT! We had to reschedule a few littles due to sickness, and overall being worn down from starting back to school and new sports, but that is alright-okay-just-great because I can't wait to see their bright, awesome smiles on their "rain-dates." Yes, I offer rain-dates even when it isn't rainy! It's just a name, it's not really for any drops coming from this Texas sky (rare phenomenon these days, but I promise it does happen).
FIRST UP! One of my faaaavorite double trouble teams, Cooper and Corbin, I say trouble but they're really not at all! I just love their characteristics and crazy energy.
How cute are they? Too, that's how much, too. They're handsome, full of life, and have been coming to TLP for their photos together (and with their beautiful Mommy) for years now! I am always in a great mood when I know they're on my schedule.
Then scoots in, the PRECIOUS, beautiful, Jessie. This was her first session with TLP, and she made me swoon! Seriously, her hair and smile, and cute giggle, she made this session a breeze. I almost forgot that it was a mini session, we were having so much fun.
She was the most chill person I have ever met about having an apple on their head. She was too excited it was staying (I was too!) Thanks for a wonderful session, Jessie!
Welcoming back, Ava, to being in front of the TLP lens, I photographed Ava's very first birthday just few sleeps ago (at least it feels like!) Obviously she is much older than a few sleeps, but I can't believe time has flown by us this quickly, look at the gorgeous little buzzy Pre-K'er we have here!
Ava is SO expressive, it makes me wonder what kind of stories she could tell after a long day at school, I bet she finds the world so much more interesting! Did I mention she's going through a lot more than just Pre-K? She's being promoted to BIG SISTER! Her mommy just came to TLP with that wonderful announcement, and helped her share the news, along with sharing it with Miss Ava. I just love her style, her sass, and all her silly faces. Thank ya, Ava for making my day end on a good note!
Did you miss out on Back to School pictures? No fear! No worry! Not one bit, don't you dare! Contact me a.s.a.p and we will set you up a date before it's too late! (See what I did there?)
As always, love
