Dallas Cowboys First Birthday Cake Smash

Dallas came back to TLP to celebrate his first birthday in style with a DALLAS COWBOYS themed cake smash! How fun is that!? Before I show you the birthday session, you may recognize this cute boy if you’re familiar with my work and have been to my studio, but he’s changed a lot in a year! He is the sweet baby in the cowboy hat featured on my studio walls in a huge round wooden print! (One of my FAVORITE images ever!)

SO CUTE RIGHT? Who can resist a newborn in a cowboy hat? I mean, come on! So so so cute!

Okay, okay time to show you his first birthday session, which I don’t think you’re ready for this cuteness, but get ready because it’s of epic proportions!

Here’s Dallas and his FIRST DOWN, Dallas Cowboys themed first birthday + cake smash!

The cake used is from the wonderful Market Street Bakery in Mabank Texas, from our little Market Street in downtown Mabank. If you stop in, tell Melissa I sent ya!

LOVED this session, thank you so much to Dallas and his parents for coming in for another session, it’s been so wonderful taking photos for you since your wedding, and now from newborn to first birthday for this little guy!

Can’t wait to see you for Christmas photos!

I hope everyone is having a great end to their summer festivities, school is starting up for most of us with school age children, and this Texas heat has us scrounging for soaks of the last bit of summertime we can enjoy with our little ones.

Stay tuned to the TLP Tribe group on Facebook for advertisements for the upcoming Fall and Winter seasons!

Shop Small on Market Street!

Market Street in Mabank is where it’s at! If you haven’t been recently, you really need to visit. There is a little something for everyone and then some more!

From Elsie Mae’s vintage/antique finds, the assortment of amazing gifts and goodies inside Elsie Mae & More AND Mamie Ruth Mercantile, seriously cute stuff - check them out and also don’t forget to grab a cup from Latte Grace Coffee & More (they’ll even walk it out to your car if you call it in!), then waltz on down to Dirt Road Divas for some refinished, beautiful furniture, quirky clothes, then the mandatory (seriously don’t miss out) stop at Market Street’s NEST for all their adorable gifts, decor, and of course their awesome selection of boutique clothing, the same goes for the new Vanilla Fringe boutique where you can score the cutest accessories and gifts. The Storks Headquarters has the cutest baby clothing, gifts, and service for your expecting moms - talk to them about a gift certificate for an ultrasound. Then Magnolia Bodyworks with their AMAZING massages in a relaxing atmosphere. Market Street Bakery’s tasty treats to satisfy your sweet tooth. Guilty Pleasures Cafe to fill in your cravings, and play into your well, guilty pleasure of eating cafe foods and more. Euphoria salon and Total Look III with their talented stylists. Or if you prefer a personal touch, check out The Pink Chair salon down the street, she has the cutest salon with a bit of glamour. In the same building, The Wax Room can hook you up with an appointment. The Dance Connection - sign your cuties up for dance classes! The classic, MUST stop place - the Victorian Tea Room, which is a staple in the Mabank community, you’re more than likely to see a familiar face in there. Then OF COURSE fill your calendar with plans and stop in for the best glass of wine you’ll find at Twisted Sisters Wine Bar.

You thought I was exaggerating when I said there’s a little something for everyone, huh?

I don’t think I even talked about all the shops that are there - you’ll just have to go see yourself!

We’ll see ya!

Mersch Family at the Arboretum

I had such a great time with this awesome family at the East Texas Arboretum and Botanical Society in Athens, Texas.  Such a great place for a nice walk and occasionally a cool breeze (if it's a nice spring day in Texas anyway!)

I've taken Ryker's pictures for his first and second birthday, so seeing him as this smiley little dude now, it brings back memories. Like his Momma said "Remember her? You made a mess of your birthday cake all over her kitchen!" Ah yes, the kitchen studio. It's crazy how much life changes in just a few years of time.

Thank you so much for hiring me again, it was such a great time with your sweet family!

To schedule your family's portraits with Traci Lynn Photography, be sure to submit a request in the contact form as soon as possible to start planning.
