Spring Studio Mini Sessions are Here!

I am so excited to share this year’s setups with my TLP clients! Every year I get to see all the kiddos come in the studio dressed from head to toe in the cutest Spring attire and snuggle my faux baby chicks & bunnies (hello animal safety AND baby safety, no chance of being scratched or bitten by a real live animal, all while getting the cuteness of the fuzzy faux ones!), I was so indecisive on which direction to go this year with my setups, so I went with BOTH of these colorful, lively sets! Choose between the two, or choose both, it’s up to you!

I’ve decided to offer daytime time slots, from 8:45am-2:30pm most days, and other time slots available, just talk to me and we can get it setup!

If you’re looking to book a bluebonnet mini session, head over to the previous blog post for those sign ups, you won’t want to miss out!

A whole year? Oh... DEER!

Everlee is turning a year young and I just can't wrap my mind around that! I love my job so very much but having to see these babies grow up in the blink of an eye makes me question if we are getting all the hours in our days or if the world is shorting us on time.

A year ago (Mar 15) I posted about Everlee's hospital, 'Hello Baby' session, where I went and visited her sweet family within the first day of her life, capturing timeless moments, including the one where her adorable older brother, Eli met her for the first time. She graced the world with her beauty and stole her mom & daddy's hearts from the second she took her first breath.

And now, here we are! Everlee has the sweetest little expressions and mannerisms, her mommy dresses her in the CUTEST outfits, and styled one of my favorite setups for a birthday EVER. Seriously, I can't get over it, she did such a great job! From pops of deep red, natural greens, creams and white, also the little hint of gold glitters, everything was absolutely perfect.

We started the session in my Mabank Texas studio with a white paneling backdrop with matching floor, spanish moss greenery, and handmade paper flowers hanging. Everlee had the sweetest headpiece and check out that perfect outfit!

I mean, isn't that just the sweetest!?
I have to, HAVE TO, get that printed for the TLP studio walls!

Then Everlee, like any star of the show, had an outfit change, complete with a custom, one of a kind headdress from Follow Your Dreams, and she rocked it! (Look at the end of this post for a side by side of her with the same teepee we used during her newborn session!)

And of course you can't celebrate a birthday and not have a little cake. Or how about a whole smash cake by Confectionary Dreams of Athens, Texas? (Let's be honest, we don't really need an occasion for a cake from Confectionary Dreams)

She was so dainty and cute eating some of the cake. Babies usually never really EAT the cake, they just kind of pick at it, lick some icing, and then make a huge mess. Everlee poked the icing, ate tiny bits of the icing, and then pushed it off the stand with her foot.

All in all, the session was hands down one of the cutest things I've ever seen, just like little Miss Everlee!

Happy (early) first birthday, sweet little girl! Thank you so much to Daniel & Kristen for bringing her in over the last year to capture her growing from that sweet little chubby cheeked newborn to this petite & sweet (almost) ONE year old!

Summer Family Session

Thank you SO much, Annie & Ryan, for hiring me for these beautiful summer family portraits. Your family is beautiful, and it was so much fun, even in the summer heat, capturing these glowing family memories!

7,000 miles to Pyper

A few months ago I received a very special request, one I'll never forget. Nicole, a beautiful soon-to-be mommy, messaged me to find out about Belly to Baby portraits. This time it was a bit different than my usual inquiry, because she was a military wife! Wesley was going to get a short leave when the baby was born, but they wanted to hire me to document the maternity, birth and newborn sessions, with a twist! Nicole was bummed that Wesley wouldn't be there for the maternity session, so we came up with a plan. She had seen the pictures where the spouse was faded into the picture, and asked if we could do something similar.

We recently did Nicole's maternity session, in bluebonnets, with Wesley being overseas, I had an idea to use the Texas bluebonnets to emphasize how she was MILES away in Texas, literally 7000 miles, and yet they were both waiting for Pyper, together.

Originally, Nicole told me to be prepared for the 22nd and beyond, that's when she was going to have Pyper, if she didn't decide on her own when to come. They planned to have him fly home then, and we were talking about the birth story process. Then she finds out there's complications with waiting that long, blood pressure being involved, preeclampsia, and she needed to deliver THIS WEEK! Over the weekend I've been talking to Nicole, she was upset because Wesley wouldn't be able to fly for the birth, being so soon. We talked about having him on video chat, recording the birth on an extra camera, and things started to seem like it would be a little easier, with him not being there, that way.

Well, guess what?! He's home! She's being induced TOMORROW (Wednesday) and he's home RIGHT NOW! I'm so excited for them both, and can't wait to meet Wesley AND Pyper all in the same 24 hour span (sorry Wesley, I'm more excited to meet Pyper).

I have to also add, Nicole and I couldn't stop giggling the entire time we took these. It's been such a great time, getting to know her. I can just imagine how precious her little girl is going to be. We had to take so much time to ourselves to breathe and relax, before each shot was taken.

Everyone please keep this sweet family in your thoughts, as they welcome their little sailor baby into the world. Thank you so much, to everyone for the support these photos have received over the week or so. It's caught wind with a few news channels, and went viral on social media.

I'll be updating as soon as we have photos finished, from the birth story, and newborn sessions! Congratulations, Wesley & Nicole, I can't wait to capture more amazing moments for your family.

It's a.... Gender Reveal!

I spent the evening with a very excited little girl, ready to find out, and announce to the world, if her sibling was a boy or a girl! She was rooting for the bows and tutus, even as we painted her hands she said "That better be pink paint!" (she had her eyes covered)

It wasn't pink paint! She's going to be a big sister to a little bitty mister! Her reaction was SO cute/funny/hilarious/priceless. I love being able to capture the little moments. While I'm not perfect with video yet, my best friend was recording it all on her phone (my new years resolution will be to work on video with my backup camera), which I am very grateful for because her little brother needs to hear it for himself. It's rumored that having a brother means one big thing...

"Cooties!"

And also "watching boy shows", her Mom told me that Ava wasn't excited about having to watch boy shows (haha!) I love the mindset of children, they're so off the wall.

She's excited! She's going to be an incredible big sister, I can't wait to meet the little dude and hopefully Mommy comes up with a name better than Ava's suggestion....

Hulk, the baby will be named Hulk!

Just kidding, don't start embroidering blankets, bibs, and bags yet, Angela (Mom) isn't a fan of that name, but Ava said it was cool, so it's kind of sticking for me. (Searching for the perfect Hulk set to use for newborn pictures, right now!)

Had a great time! Thank you, Angela and Ava, for hiring me for this beautiful announcement.
